Our mischievous fluffy-tailed campus squirrels are more than just adorable; they’re practically Cornell royalty. Whether darting to and fro across the Ped Mall, scavenging for acorns under McLennan College Hall’s trees, or pausing to watch students pass by, these lovable critters are truly the heartbeat of our campus. And now, for the first time ever, you get to name one of these kings or queens.

For a gift of at least $18.53 to the Cornell Fund between 2-7 p.m. on Color It Purple, you can personally bestow a name upon one of these quick, bushy-tailed icons. This selfless act of squirrel-kindness will not go unnoticed; you’ll receive a digital certificate honoring your generosity complete with your named squirrel's new government name. Frame it, flaunt it, gift it, tattoo it on your bicep, the choice is yours!

Get creative, have fun, and let your imagination run wild like our Hilltop friends. However, these squirrels have feelings too and because we respect our fuzzy cohabitants, we reserve the right to reject any name deemed to be inappropriate. Keep in mind rejected names will not result in a refunded donation, so don’t be nutty and choose wisely!
